NCT 2020 "RESONANCE Pt. 1" Tops iTunes Charts in 32 Regions
NCT 2020 is on a roll! On October 13, Tuesday, NCT's second full-length album, "RESONANCE Pt.1," topped iTunes Album Charts in 32 different countries upon the album's debut.
SM Entertainment confirmed the news on October 13. Upon the album's release, "RESONANCE Pt.1" soared to the top of the iTunes Album Charts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Ireland, Russia, Hungary, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, and more. In total, "RESONANCE Pt.1" topped the charts in 23 different regions.
Additionally, "RESONANCE Pt.1" topped the daily album sales chart on the Hanteo Charts, Synnara Records, Kyobo Books, and Japan's LINE Music. In less than two hours after the album's release, it was certified platinum in China's QQ Music and had also topped QQ Music's Digital Album Sales Charts.
NCT 2020 dropped "RESONANCE Pt.1" on October 12, Monday, at 6 PM KST. A day prior to the album's drop, it was reported that the album had recorded 1.12 million sales in pre-orders, making it NCT's best-selling album even before its release.

The album gained much attention, as it showcases a variety of musical colors and different styles due to the participation of all the moments under the NCT umbrella. All of the NCT sub-units - NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV - took part in making this album. On top of each unit having their own song on the album, they also switched up the members to form different NCT U groups to promote with.

The album's title track, "Make a Wish (Birthday Song)," has also been receiving much attention even before its release. The song is a charming, hip-hop beat-based dance-pop song that will have you wanting more thanks to its addictive whistles. The lyrics also talk about wanting to achieve your dreams and wishing it comes true. The song is promoted by members Taeyoung, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Lucas, Xiaojun, Jaemin, and Shotaro.

The album and all its songs have already been out since October 12, 6 PM KST and are available for streaming on various music sites and streaming platforms. The music video for "Make a Wish (Birthday Song) was also released on SMTOWN's Naver TV channel as well as their official YouTube channel.
Prior to the album's release, the members promoting "Make a Wish (Birthday Song)" held a countdown live stream on NCT's V Live channel to celebrate their comeback. The seven members who participated in the song spent an hour before the drop to talk with their fans from all around the world, shared stories about album preparations, and had a fun question-and-answer portion.
