K-Pop royalty CL has officially returned and is already making waves in the industry with her latest release.

This comes after CL's incredible performance of "+HWA+" on the "Late Night Show with James Corden." The music video for "+5 STAR+," which features Korean-Australian producer/singer Christian Yu, also known as DPR Ian, was also released. CL was also featured in Iaen's debut single "So Beautiful," which was released on Oct. 26. The former 2NE1 member's music video is undoubtedly highly appreciated. But with Christian joining in the same music video, it is another reason to check love it.

The chemistry between the two is superb, and it shows through "+5 STAR+." Inspired by the movie "Blue Valentine" and Rihanna's "We Found Love" ft. Calvin Harris, the video features the pair in various romantic scenarios, from sunset canoe rides to dancing barefoot in the kitchen.

"I can't stop thinkin' about you," CL sings while fireworks burst - a representation of the love that sparked between the two. CL's vocals are unbelievably smooth, and her fantastic performance made the music video feel like a movie. Netizens cannot stop gushing over the couple, going as far as to deem them the ultimate "couple goals." There is something so pure and unadulterated in how CL's voice meshes with the romantic scenarios portrayed in the music video that it's very hard not to fall in love with her.

Lee Chae-rin, better known by her stage name CL, is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she spent much of her early life in Japan and France, where she also learned to speak the languages. CL trained at JYP Entertainment before joining YG Entertainment at the age of fifteen and debuted as a girl group 2NE1 in 2009. The group became one of South Korea's most popular and successful girl groups with fans, not just in Korea but all over the world.

2NE1 went into indefinite hiatus in 2015 amid the controversy of one of the members. In November 2016, YG Entertainment officially announced 2NE1's disbandment after almost two years of taking a break.

She was signed in YG Entertainment until December of 2019. Shortly after her departure from the label, she released her solo EP project "In the Name of Love," consisting of previously unreleased tracks written within the three years after her single "Lifted." After the hiatus of the girl band, CL continued her solo career in the United States.

Fans were expecting CL to join P Nation, which also signed Jessi, HyunA, and DAWN. However, CL had other plans. On Sept. 12, the singer announced that she had been working on a new album, which will be released later this year. Two days later, she released the music video for the song "Post Up," a track in her upcoming album.

On Oct. 29, she released two singles, "+HWA+" and "+5 STAR+," which were co-written by former labelmates and Epik High members. At the same time, she announced that her new mini-album titled "Alpha" will be released on Nov. 30.

Fans' excitement for CL's comeback is immeasurable, and the reaction to the music video for "+5 STAR+" proves it. The music video had garnered 2,810,198 views with thousands of comments from fans.
