'Hello Stranger': CIX Joins the Growing UNIVERSE with CIX Planet

Five-piece boy group CIX has recently joined the roster of artists in the newest fan interaction platform UNIVERSE.

CIX will be available on the platform, creating all-new content and ways of communicating with their official fanbase FIX. Video game giant NCSoft Corporation and its entertainment subsidiary Klap Co. first announced CIX as a part of UNIVERSE on November 21. On the same day of the announcement, a video was uploaded on the UNIVERSE Official YouTube channel reporting the boy group as missing and asking "Have You Seen CIX?"

CIX Planet on UNIVERSE

NCSoft and Klap's UNIVERSE promises to be the largest global entertainment platform that offers content and activities for fans around the world, both online and offline. Its services will be available to 134 countries, with the platform reportedly available in three languages: English, Korean, and Japanese.

The fan interaction platform also boasts the latest technology to provide more content never seen before in other K-pop platforms. It includes an AI voice of CIX members BX, Seunghun, Hyunsuk, Yonghee, and Bae Jin-young. Fans can listen to their voices thanks to NCSoft's revolutionary speech synthesis, which utilizes the artists' actual voices.

Fans can look forward to UNIVERSE's "Studio" feature: dress and style up the 3D avatars of CIX and shoot a music video with them. The movements of the 3D animated characters are taken from motion capture data provided by the idols themselves. Aside from "Studio," FIX (short for Faith in X) can also organize and archive their fandom activities and get points in return.

Pre-register now on the platform's webpage and get raffle tickets, with additional information to be made available starting December 9. Fans who also pre-register will be notified and rewarded once the service launches. The raffle tickets allow fans to participate in a special event, as well as collectibles.

Complete in X

The South Korean quintet was formed under the C9 Entertainment agency, debuting on July 23, 2019 with their first EP titled "Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger." One of its members, Bae Jin-young, is a former winner of Mnet's reality competition "Production 101 Season 2," becoming a member of the boy group Wanna One.

After the disbandment of Wanna One on December 31, 2018, Bae debuted as a solo artist with his self-composed solo debut album "Hard to Say Goodbye." Another former Wanna One member, Park Ji Hoon, has also joined the UNIVERSE with his own "Planet."

CIX, which means "Complete in X," was first announced in February 2019 by its agency, C9 Entertainment, with the pre-debut name C9Boyz. Ahead of their official debut, the now-CIX appeared in its own reality show "Hello CIX" in June 2019 through V Live. The ten-episode miniseries showcased the members and their respective charms, endearing them to eager K-pop fans worldwide.

A month after "Hello CIX" aired, the group released their EP "Hello Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger," together with its lead single "Movie Star." It was followed by their second EP, "Hello Chapter 2: Hello, Strange Place," and its lead single "Numb."
