CIX Will Perform BTS's 'Spring Day' on 'The Show' to Bring Hope to Fans

CIX is set to perform the song "Spring Day" in their appearance on SBS channel's "The Show" on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The group, which is composed of Hyunseok, Yonghee, Bae Jinyoung, Seunghun, and BX, will perform the BTS hit track in "The Show: Special Stage" segment.

In a statement, CIX claimed they want to send a message of hope and healing to fans amid the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. The South Korean boyband, also, stated they wanted to be the voice of their followers who are dreaming of an ordinary spring day after facing their respective life challenges.

The episode, which would feature CIX's special cover of BTS' song, is scheduled to be broadcasted today at 6 p.m. Fans can watch it on SBS, MTV Asia, and Fortune TV in Myanmar.

In November, the UNIVERSE officially included CIX in its roaster. The KPop fandom platform revealed that the next plant belongs to Hyunseok, Yonghee, Bae Jinyoung, Seunghun, and BX. In other words, users would have a chance to communicate and even meet the boyband group virtually by simply using the entertainment platform. They can, also, share a myriad of contents and connect with other fans around the globe.

At the moment, the UNIVERSE is available in three languages - English, Japanese and Korean - in 134 countries. The platform is an integration of entertainment content and IT technology that brings a unique experience to its users. It even has a feature wherein fans would receive daily updates and a possible private call or text from their idols.

CIX became one of the fastest winning K-Pop acts

For starters, CIX was launched on July 23, 2019, with their first album called "Hello Chapter 1: Hello Stranger," which sold a total of 70,000 copies in two months. Days after their debut, Hyunseok (Vocal, Rap, Dance) Yonghee (Vocal), Bae Jinyoung (Vocal, Dance), Seunghun (Main Vocal), and BX (Leader, Rap), then, got the title of being one of the fastest winning K-Pop acts. They even placed first on the chart system of "The Show."

CIX made a comeback with their third mini-album called "Hello Chapter 3: Hello, Strange Time." Its carrier single called "Jungle" instantly topped Soribada's real-time chart. The group even dominated the iTunes K-pop album chart in 24 regions and claimed the top spots in 17 Apple Music album charts. Hyunseok, Yonghee, Bae Jinyoung, Seunghun, and BX, also, broke their own initial album sales record as their third album garnered a total of 44,030 sales in South Korea alone.

Initially, the release of CIX's third album was delayed after Bae Jinyoung injured himself during a practice session. To prioritize the singer's health and recovery, C9 Entertainment announced, at the time, that they will have to postpone the release of the album. Luckily, Bae Jinyoung got better, and the group's latest EP hit the music stores on Oct. 27
