Twitter has issued its official report on #KpopTwitter for 2020, and this includes the rankings of K-pop artists who are becoming more popular and successful around the world.

On Thursday, Feb. 4, Twitter shared what took place in K-pop Twitter over the past year. While 2020 changed the way we enjoy all aspects, including entertainment, K-pop continued to dominate the world with outstanding releases from several K-pop artists, becoming one of the most global communities on Twitter at present.

Also, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was unable to stop several acts from expanding their popularity in more countries. Below is the "Top 10 Fastest-Rising K-pop Artists" on Twitter in 2020. The rankings were determined by analyzing the artists who made their debut post-2017, specifically the total volume of tweets related to them from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2020.

Coming in fifth place is Belift Lab's first boy group, ENHYPEN (@ENHYPEN_members), which is among the rookie groups in K-pop. The seven-piece band made its debut in November of last year with an extended play titled "Border: Day One."

Prior to its debut, the septet amassed a huge following on social media platforms including Twitter, gaining more than one million followers.

Sitting at No. 4 is JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids (@Stray_Kids). Although 2020 has been a rough time for everyone, it was still a successful year for the boy band. Their first studio album, "Go Live," and its repackaged album, "In Life," earned the group several achievements. "Go Live" is the initial best-selling album of Stray Kids until "In Life" sold more than the first studio album. In addition, both albums received official platinum certifications after selling 250,000 copies each.

In addition to their previous sales, ATEEZ becomes the second fourth-generation boy group to hit the one-million mark in total sales within their rookie period, with the first one being Stray Kids.

Big Hit Entertainment's latest boy group, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (@TXT_members), claimed the No. 2 spot on Twitter's rankings. In 2020, the band's Japanese debut single album "Magic Hour" debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Chart, proving TXT's popularity in Japan. The album was later certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) after selling 100,000 copies.

The group's next Korean release, "The Dream Chapter: Eternity" also earned an official certification, particularly platinum for selling 250,000 units. Then third EP "Minisode1: Blue Hour" entered numerous charts, both domestic and international.

And claiming the top position is YG Entertainment's new boy group, TREASURE (@treasuremembers). The group beat out some of the well-known K-pop artists who have been in the entertainment industry for years. TREASURE just made its debut in August 2020, so it's truly incredible that they end up atop the rankings. In just five months of their debut, the band was able to achieve more than one million cumulative album sales.
