iKON’s Yunhyeong Accused of Being a School Bully + Numerous Classmates Release Statements Defending Him
iKON member Yunhyeong is the next South Korean celebrity to be involved in school bullying rumors. This time, however, numerous classmates of the idol are standing up to defend him. Keep on reading to learn more.
iKON's Yunhyeong Accused of Being a School Bully in Middle School
As more and more idols are accused of being school bullies, many are taking this chance to write posts about celebrities being pepetrators of school violence during their youth. The most recent idol is iKON member Yunhyeong. A post was made claiming that during middle school, he would ruin the self-esteem of his female classmates by rating their appearance right in front of them. The poster accused the idol of hanging out with iljins (bullies or people who are famous for their bad reputations). The user claims that there are photos of hims moking in the men's restroom.
Their whole post reads:
"I have written this numerous times already, but every time I try, his fans would always find a way to threate me and shut me up. I am mustering up the courage to share my story again, because it appears that people are believing the victim's story these days.
During middle school, he would ruin the self-esteems by rating their visuals right in front of them. Yunyeong, because of you, life became so hard that I wanted to die.
He would frequently spend time with iljins. There used to be a photo of him smoking cigarettes in the men's restroom, but the photo got deleted? I keep asking myself why I did not save the picture back then. I regret that decision, because I knw that one picture would have a bigger impact that all the words I am saying now.
Let's be honest, I am not the only victim. I am curious about the others... After you moved to the arts school, I heard that you cut all ties with everyone... I wonder if they have anything they would like to expose? I heard that CyWorld is going to be relaunched and that make me so ecstatic. No more, no less; I hope you receive the same amount of suffering you caused others."
Several Classmates Defend Yunhyeong
While it appears the original user wanted people from the school to come out with their bullying stories, that did not ot happen. Instead, numerous people releases statment refuting the rumors made against Yunhyeong. One user states that though Yunhyeong was not an iljin, he was not a model stuent either. Instead, he was just a regular guy who got along with everyone.
Another person claiming to be his female classmate released a lengthier statement. She revealed that the know the person who wrote the accusations, but they do not know why they did so. They went on to reveal that Yunhyeon never cursed, and that he was a normal middle school student and was never a bully.
Another classmate, a male student this time, claims to be friends with Yunhyeong. According to him, Yunhyeong was popular and well-liked by everyone. The idol had many friends and a wide network, but he did have people he did not click with and had personal differences with. He believes the original poster happens to be one of those people.
The male classmate went on to say that A has made baseless rumors due to their personal differences with Yunhyeong. He revealed that Yunhyeong is receiving numerous malicious rumors due to the claims, which has spurred him to come out in his defense.
As of press time, YG Entertainment has not released a statement on the matter.
