APRIL Naeun's Food Advertisement Temporarily Suspended Due to Bullying Controversy

APRIL Naeun, together with her bandmates, is embroiled in a bullying controversy that involves her former member Lee Hyunjoo. Because of this, her food advertisement has been stopped for the meantime.
APRIL Naeun is currently one of the models for Dongsuh Foods Corporation, particularly for the company's corn flight bar. Unfortunately, her food advertisement has been greatly affected by the rumors about her bullying former APRIL Hyunjoo, alongside her fellow members.
APRIL Naeun Gets Involved in a Bullying Controversy
On Feb. 28, a netizen claiming to be a younger brother of former APRIL Hyunjoo said that his sister experienced and suffered bullying within the group, and because of that, she had difficulties in dealing with panic disorder. The assumed brother also added that the female idol attempted to commit suicide because of her sufferings. The user even uploaded a medical report as proof.

Moreover, they alleged that although Hyunjoo mentioned to them that she was in pain from the bullying, APRIL's agency proceeded with the group's activities. In response to the accusations, DSP Media stated that these assertions are groundless and that they will take legal action against the accuser and former APRIL Hyunjoo.

Nevertheless, the bullying controversy involving APRIL Naeun and her bandmates is currently one of the hot topics among individuals in South Korea. And the public's anger over them continues to grow, with Naeun, the most active member, having multiple rumors at the moment.
Dongsuh Foods Corporation Halts APRIL Naeun's Advertisement
As an aftermath of the issue, advertisement companies that are working with Naeun are feeling uneasy. Hence, they are taking measures to remove or change the promotional materials to private. In particular, Dongsuh Foods Corporation is also taking action.
According to an exclusive report from Sports Kyunghyang on March 3, the agency has temporarily suspended the APRIL member's advertisement for their corn flight bar. The report also stated that Dongsuh Foods is currently in talks on whether they will continue the contract with the singer.

APRIL Naeun Faces Two More Controversies
Besides the bullying rumor, the actress is also involved in two more issues. First, APRIL Naeun is said to have made a rape joke before she debuted as an idol. A screenshot showing her conversation with her friend back in 2013 has resurfaced online, and one of her messages was found inappropriate, making the public throw hate comments toward her more.

Another rumor surrounding the singer is that she is believed to be in a relationship with former A-JAX member Yoonyoung, who previously defended APRIL from the group's bullying controversy.
Shortly after his statement, dating rumors about him and Naeun circulated online. Netizens believe the two are dating after seeing an Instagram story of Yoonyoung that shows a picture of the female idol, along with a caption that they believe to mean "she's mine."
Amid the dating rumors, the former A-JAX member sat down with SPOTV NEWS to clarify the matter, saying it is not true. He also said that he only defended APRIL because he felt bad for them as he has a close relationship with the group.
