On April 29, Mnet aired Episode 5 of "Kingdom" and it featured the three remaining performances for Round 2 of the competition. The initial rankings for the second round have also been unveiled.

Round 2 of Mnet's "Kingdom" involves the six participants - iKON, The Boyz, BTOB, SF9, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids - switching songs for the "RE:BORN" battle.

On Thursday, April 29, the second part of "Round 2: RE:BORN" was aired via the "Mnet K-pop" YouTube channel. The recent broadcast presented the stages of ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and BTOB.

ATEEZ, who first took the stage on that day, performed iKON's "Rhythm Ta." Following the motif of the Spanish drama television series "The House of Paper," also known as "Money Heist" the members who transformed into robbers created a dramatic performance from the beginning of the operation while wearing a mask to the moment of successfully opening a safe.

In addition, the hourglass props in the ending show that their "Rhythm Ta" stage is a prequel to their pirate-themed "WONDERLAND" performance in the first contest, presenting a more narrative presentation.

BTOB took on a new challenge by choosing the song "Back Door" by Stray Kids, a group that has a very different concept from them. Through the track, the four members - Minhyuk, Peniel, Changsub, and Eunkwang - displayed their individualities. In addition, the group used a knocking sound as a killing point and added an explosive ad-lib line that is the signature of BTOB's image.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids, who performed BTOB's "Pray (I'll Be Your Man)," challenged themselves on their first emotional stage after their debut. The members were immersed in the story of protecting an important person as described in the song. One of the main highlights of the song was Seungmin and Han hitting the high notes toward the end of the song while Changbin did the rapid rapping.

Previous Round 2 performances were SF9 with The Boyz's "The Stealer," The Boyz with SF9's "O Sole Mio," and iKON with ATEEZ's "INCEPTION."

Following the stages of ATEEZ, BTOB, and Stray Kids, TVXQ Changmin revealed the initial rankings for Round 2. These involve the points for self-evaluation of the six competing groups and the votes of experts (composers, lyricists, and popular music critics).

ATEEZ, who took first place in the temporary rankings in Round 1, once again claimed the top spot in Round 2 with 2,155.172 points, a combination of 1321.839 points for self-evaluation and 833.333 votes from experts.

Coming in second place is SF9, who was in sixth place in the initial tally in Round 1. The boy group scored 2,136.015 points that comprise 747.126 points for self-evaluation and 1388.889 votes from experts. Next is BTOB with 2021.073 points that include 632.184 self-evaluation points and 1388.889 'experts' vote.

iKON claimed fourth place with 1695.402 points, consisting of 862.069 points from the participants and 833.333 votes from professionals. After them is Stray Kids with 1072.797 points, the sum of 517.241 points from the contestants, and 555.556 'experts' vote.

In the last place is The Boyz, who was in the middle of the rankings before. The band only earned 919.540 points from self-evaluation and none from the experts' vote.
