TREASURE to Perform Exclusively on Shopee Live for Mid-Year Sale

On May 28, Southeast Asia and Taiwan's leading e-commerce platform Shopee announced that they will be holding an event in June to commemorate the 6.6 mid-year sale.

As part of the celebration, Shopee collaborated with one of the rising rookie groups in K-pop - none other than YG Entertainment's new boy group, TREASURE. Fans can watch Hyunsuk, Jeongwoo, Yedam, Doyoung, Haruto, Jaekhyuk, Asahi, Junghwan, Mashiho, Junkyu, Yoshi, and Jihoon perform exclusively on Shopee Live.

According to Shopee, TREASURE will perform their hit songs "I Love You," "MMM," and "My Treasure" during the broadcast.

In addition to the exclusive performance, Shopee based in the Philippines and Singapore has special treats for the TREASURE fans.

PH Teumes can win cashback vouchers by following two simple steps written on the Twitter post of Shopee Philippines. There will six lucky fans who can win the voucher.

Meanwhile, SG Teumes have the chance to win a signed TREASURE album, particularly their first album. Fans just have to follow the three simple steps mentioned on the Twitter post of Shopee Singapore. The giveaway ends on June 6.

Meanwhile, Teumes in Southeast Asia and Taiwan can tune into the Shopee live broadcast on June 6 starting at 2 p.m.

TREASURE's 2021 Activities So Far

This year, TREASURE has released their first full-length album and made their debut in Japan.

On Jan. 11, YG Entertainment's new boy group dropped their first studio album, titled "The First Step: Treasure Effect." This album concludes the "First Step" series of the rookie band, with the first three installments released last year.

TREASURE's first full-length album contains the title track "My Treasure" and 11 more songs. The set is mainly a K-pop record that mixes various genres like dance-pop, hip hop, dance, pop, rap, and ballad.

"My Treasure" is a song that includes a meaning that everyone is a unique treasure-like being and also conveys a hopeful message of cheering up and staying strong in difficult times.

An accompanying music video for TREASURE's "My Treasure" was shared via YG Entertainment's YouTube channel. The MV hit 3.5 million views in 13 hours.

When it comes to chart performance, the new boy group's album and the title track also did well. TREASURE's "The First Step: Treasure Effect" ranked No. 1 on iTunes charts in 18 countries, including Thailand, Spain, Hong Kong, Brazil, and India.

As of Jan. 11, roughly 250,000 pre-orders were recorded. On Jan. 13, the album took first place on Hanteo Chart's real-time accumulated sales. TREASURE's full-length album also scored the top spot on the Gaon Monthly Album Chart.

On March 31, YG Entertainment's new boy group dropped their Japanese debut album, also titled "The First Step: Treasure Effect." It contains the Japanese version of all their songs to date, together with an original Japanese track, "Beautiful."

TREASURE's Japanese album debuted at N. 1 on the Oricon Daily Chart and stayed atop for four consecutive days. The rookie group went on to dominate the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with 57,000 copies sold in the first week of sales.
