TWICE Taste of Love Had the Highest First Week Sales on Hanteo Among Girl Groups

According to Hanteo Chart, TWICE's tenth mini-album, "Taste of Love," recorded 277,531 album sales on the Hanteo Chart on its first day of release. The album was released on June 11, 2021, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records.

Prior to the album's release, it was reported that "Taste of Love" surpassed 530,000 pre-order sales, making TWICE half-million sellers before the album's release.

This is TWICE's third album to surpass 500,00 sales. "Taste of Love" subsequently debuted at number two on the weekly Gaon Album Chart.

"Taste of Love" debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, making it TWICE's third release to enter the said chart. It is also their highest peak on the chart.

Additionally, "Taste of Love" debuted at the top of the Billboard World Albums and Top Albums Chart. This is TWICE's second time ranking in the former chart.

ITZY Guess Who Had the Second Highest First Week Sales on Hanteo Among Girl Groups

Ranking in second place is yet another JYP Entertainment girl group — ITZY! According to Hanteo Chart, ITZY's fourth mini-album, "Guess Who," sold 200,130 copies on its first day of release.

"Guess Who" was released on April 30, 2021, through JYP Entertainment.

Two days before the mini-album was released, "Guess Who" surpassed 260,000 pre-orders, making it ITZY's best-selling album to date.

"Guess Who" debuted at the top of the Gaon Retail Album chart and number two on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart. On the monthly version of the chart, "Guess Who" debuted at number 5 with less than a day of tracking.

"Guess Who" peaked at number 158 on the Billboard 200, making it ITZY's first time to ever chart. They are the seventh female K-pop artist to break into the Billboard 200.

"Guess Who" also debuted at number two on the US World Albums Chart while debuting at number one on the US Heatseekers Albums chart.
