BLACKPINK Lisa LALISA has become the best-selling album by a female soloist on the Gaon Chart in history!
On Oct. 7, the monthly result of the Gaon Album Chart for September 2021 has been released. This chart ranks albums based on the cumulative shipments in South Korea.
Among the albums that made it to the Top 5 of the Gaon Album Chart is BLACKPINK Lisa LALISA, which is also one of the many new entries.
BLACKPINK Lisa LALISA is the Best-Selling Album by a Female Soloist on Gaon Chart in History
Released on Sept. 10, "LALISA" is BLACKPINK Lisa's first single album. It contains of two songs: the title track "LALISA" and the B-side "MONEY."
On the Gaon Album Chart, "LALISA" debuted at No. 3, the highest rank among the female albums that entered the monthly chart.

According to Gaon, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" sold 693,079 total copies throughout September.
In addition to the regular version of the single album, "LALISA" (Kit version) also entered the monthly Gaon Album Chart. It landed at No. 10 with an exact sales amount of 60,000 copies.
When the album sales of the two versions are added, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" sold a total of 753,079 copies sold on Gaon in September alone.
"LALISA" is the first and only female solo album to reach 700,000 copies in Gaon, so far. So, this means it is the best-selling album by a female soloist on the music site in history.

Currently, the female solo album with the second-highest sales on Gaon is BLACKPINK Rosé's "R," which has sold over 604,000 copies as of September.
For the overall record including Gaon sales of girl groups, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" sits at No. 2 and follows "THE ALBUM" with over 1.4 million copies sold.
Meanwhile, "LALISA" also entered the weekly Gaon Retail Album Chart for Week 40 of 2021. It rose to No. 8 with a total of 3,357 copies sold in the previous week.

Meanwhile, the album's title track, also called "LALISA," debuted on two monthly Gaon Charts for September 2021.
First, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" entered the monthly Gaon Streaming Chart at No. 112.

It also made it to the latest weekly chart (for the week ending on Oct. 2). It climbed 11 spots down to No. 111 in its fourth week on the tally.
"LALISA" also debuted on the monthly Gaon Digital Chart at No. 95. It collected almost 19 million digital points throughout the past month.
BLACKPINK Lisa's single also plummeted on the weekly digital chart. From No. 96, it went down to No. 109 with more than 3.5 million digital points.
Finally, Lisa remained at No. 3 on the Gaon Social Chart, becoming the highest soloist on the weekly chart. Her bandmates Jennie and Rosé also made it to the rankings, claiming the Nos. 14 and 33, respectively.
