Former 'Girls Planet 999' Contestant Fu Yaning Reveals Her True Thoughts of Kep1er's Choi Yujin

On October 27, Fu Yaning held an Instagram Live to communicate with her fans following the end of "Girls Planet 999." Fu Yaning was seen eating Jjapaghetti and communicating with fans in English, Korean, and Chinese during the live stream. As the live stream progressed, she read a comment that contained Kep1er and CLC member Choi Yujin's name, which led the Chinese singer to talk about her.
As she thought about Choi Yujin, Fu Yaning said, "She is the girl I really... I really, really cherish and love. Very much." She then looks into the camera and says, "Yujin unnie, I miss you!"
Fu Yaning states that she does not know what Choi Yujin is doing now and wonders if she has become busy after joining the line-up of Kep1er. Then, she looks at the camera again and asks in Korean, "What are you doing?"
Fu Yaning and Choi Yujin's Relationship
Their relationship was not always so friendly. During the evaluation stages, Fu Yaning's group performed CLC's "Helicopter." Before their performances, the mentors asked Fu Yaning if she had any words for Choi Yujin, as she is one of the song's original singers. Fu Yaning then looked up to her and sang, "We go up / But you don't."
The original lyric of the song was "We go up / Helicopter." This led many to believe Fu Yaning was dissing Choi Yujin. The CLC member responded by dancing the choreography of the song. When it was her turn to perform, the mentors asked if she liked C-Group's performance of "Helicopter," to which she replied it was good and that their song selection was good.
While they were never in a group together until the last mission, it seems their friendship blossomed behind the scenes. During the "Girls Planet 999" fan meeting, Cai Bing, Wen Zhe, and Fu Yaning performed "Helicopter" for the fans. Yujin surprised the three girls by joining and performing the song with them. After their performance, all three girls rushed to hug Yujin.
When the girls returned to their seats, Fu Yaning yelled, "Yujin unnie, you are the best!" This led Cai Bing to exclaim that Yujin is hers, leading the two to fake fight over the idol.
As the girls shared a meal together in the finale, Kim Bora brought up the "We go up" incident. Yujin admitted that at the time, she never thought Fu Yaning and her would become close. All the other girls admitted they were scared, but Huening Bahiyyih said that Fu Yaning is actually a kind person, to which Yujin nodded in agreement.
