On October 16, 2015, former MADTOWN member Buffy uploaded two selfies with VIVIZ member Eunha (at the time, she was a member of GFRIEND). The idols were seen standing in front of the Han River at night, with their heads close together affectionately. The photos instantly sparked dating rumors. The images, which were uploaded to MADTOWN's official Instagram account, included the words "date," "lovestagram," and "girlfriend."
While the latter word was a reference to Eunha's group name, many were more focused on the words "date" and "lovestagram." The photos were soon deleted and taken off MADTOWN's Instagram account. Still, several internet users had shared the pictures and uploaded them to several social media platforms and online community forums.

People speculated that MADTOWN was trying to draw attention to their potential comeback. At the time, MADTOWN had just celebrated their first anniversary and revealed that they were actively preparing for a comeback. On the other hand, others believe the two might actually be dating, and Buffy made a mistake in posting on to the MADTOWN account.
On October 20, MADTOWN's label, J. Tune Camp, released a statement on the matter. They claimed that the selfies of Buffy and Eunha were a spoiler for Pro C's (a sub-unit under MADTOWN composed of Buffy and Moos) new comeback song, "Han River at Night." They then asked fans to show support for the song.

The song was released on October 21, 2015, and featured Eunha, which is why she made an appearance on the group's Instagram account,
With that, J. Tune Camp effectively quashed all the dating rumors between the two.
