Sunmi Cosplays League of Legends Character Jinx at the 2021 KBS Song Festival
In the past few years, more and more K-pop idols are into cosplaying characters from the popular game League of Legends, and now Sunmi has been added to the list.

On Dec. 17, Sunmi attended the 2021 KBS Song Festival where she performed her latest song "TAIL." The 29-year-old singer surprised fans with her new look as she was dressed in a perfect cosplay of one of the most popular League of Legends characters, Jinx.

Sunmi's cosplay was spot on as her whole look includes Jinx's signature blue braids, cut-off gloves, and purple and black clothes. Her performance was also remarkable, set up with green screens that changed her surroundings and her backup dancers.
On Dec. 18, Sunmi took to her social media accounts to share new photos of her cosplaying Jinx. She wrote in the caption, "I DID IT" along with the hashtag "#JINX."

Upon posting the images, the comment section was flooded with praises from fans who are loving how she perfectly cosplayed the League of Legends character. The Twitter post and Instagram posts have garnered 38,000 likes and over 619,000 likes as of writing.

Sunmi's performance at the 2021 KBS Song Festival isn't the first time she showed her support of something related to League of Legends. In July 2020, the singer uploaded a picture to her Instagram wearing a DWG KIA jersey as she announced her support for LCK superstar, ShowMaker.
The "TAIL" singer ultimately met ShowMaker in January this year. In a shared video, the female idol taught him how to take pictures for social media properly and even had an impromptu pictorial. As his way to show his gratitude, ShowMaker gifted Sunmi a personalized DQG KIA jersey with her name printed on the back.
Further, Sunmi released the new song "Go or Stop?" for DWG KIA in October. The track contains lyrics that aim to inspire not only the team but all DWG KIA fans.

Sunmi's Latest Solo Comeback with Third EP "1/6 (One-Sixth)"
In other news, Sunmi last made her solo comeback in August with her third EP, titled "1/6 (One-Sixth)," which consists of six songs including the title track "You Can't Sit With Us."

Sunmi's "You Can't Sit With Us" features a fast and addictive chorus that expresses disappointment and anger toward a lover. The female idol penned the lyrics while Michel Schulz, Melanie Fontana and Ross Golan composed the song.

At the time of its release, "1/6" peaked at No. 5 on the weekly Gaon Album Chart. This album even smashed Sunmi's first-week sales record.
On the first day of release (Aug. 9), "1/6" sold 10,692 copies, breaking the idol's previous first-week sales record of 2,911 copies attained by her 2018 album "Warning." It went on to sell a total of 16,305 copies - more than quintupling Sunmi's record.
