A video of Kep1er member Kim Chaehyun rapping to BLACKPINK's "Lovesick Girls" before her debut has resurfaced. The video, which features a screen recording from an Instagram LIve back when Kim Chaehyun had access to her Instagram account, shows the idol performing covers for her viewers.

Known for her strong vocal color, Chaehyun confidently performed Jennie and Lisa's famous rap parts without fumbling. Many were surprised over her rap skills, as she only showcased her singing skills during "Girls Planet 999" and as a member of Kep1er. Many joked she was an underground rapper, with people expressing their excitement at Chaehyun's rap tone. Some even claimed it is the best cover of BLACKPINK's song.
Chaehyun used to be an SM Entertainment trainee before leaving the company between 2019 and 2020. People who saw the video expressed their regret that Chaehyun missed her debut with aespa, as she could be a potential vocalist and rapper for the group. Others commented that she could even be qualified to be a YG Entertainment trainee with her talent.

Kep1er Kim Chaehyun Gains Attention for Uncanny Resemblance to Red Velvet Irene
This was not the first time Kim Chaehyun went viral with internet users. In November 2021, Kep1er held a live stream on Naver's V Live. During the broadcast, Kim Chaehyun was seen without her iconic bangs and wearing a beret. Many praised her visuals during the live stream, with some saying the new look perfectly matched her.

She went viral for looking like Red Velvet member Irene. Many commented that Kim Chaehyun possessed visuals similar to the "Queendom" songstress, with others stating that Kim Chaehyun has visuals that perfectly matched SM Entertainment's standards.
In addition, people commented that she looked like a hybrid of Lee Yeon Hee, Seo Hyun Jin, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, Red Velvet's Wendy and Irene.

Kim Chaehyun was born in 2002 and trained with the aespa members in SM Entertainment before leaving the company. In 2021, she participated in the competition show "Girls Planet 999" and won first place in the finale. She will be debuting with Kep1er on January 3.
