aespa member Ningning is under fire in South Korea after congratulating the Chinese short track team for winning gold at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

The win is controversial, as South Korea saw their athletes disqualified and a skater, Hwang Dae Heon, was allegedly pushed by a Chinese skater.

Another skater, Park Jang Hyuk, had his hand accidentally skated over by a Chinese contestant.

Following the backlash, an internet user allegedly hacked into Ningning's private Instagram account and announced the celebrities she follows on the platform.

The idol follows her fellow labelmates, Red Velvet's Joy, Yeri and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. In addition, she follows other artists such as TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids, BTS's Suga, J-Hope, Jeon Somi and more.

This private Instagram account is followed by aespa's stylists and Ningning's publicly revealed friends. pH-1, who she follows, follows her back as well. Many were certain this account belonged to Ningning, as the account was caught watching an Instagram Live of her friend.

How Did People React to Ningning's Instagram Account Getting Hacked?

While many are angry at her for her comments concerning the Olympics, many do not agree with the hacking. They slammed the hacker for their actions and chose to support Ningning. Many are choosing not to look deeper into her account, as it appears to simply be an account of a teen girl.

Some comments supporting Ningning read, "We are mad, but what does that have to do with her private Instagram?" "It makes her look more like a normal person," and "You guys hack into Ningning's private Instagram but just imagine your oppas' being hacked too."

Others, however, found it odd that Ningning follows all of the BLACKPINK members and some of the BTS members, but not her labelmates NCT 127 and Red Velvet's Irene.
