During the episode, Jeon Soyeon talked about the time she competed in the third season of Mnet's "Unpretty Rapstar," a rap competition TV show that is known as a spin-off of "Show Me The Money."

The female rapper participated in the show a year before she made her solo debut under CUBE Entertainment in 2017. She finished the program as second runner-up and contributed three songs to the show's final compilation album.
Jeon Soyeon During Her Time on "Unpretty Rapstar"
Talking about "Unpretty Rapstar," (G)I-DLE Soyeon told Yoo Heeyeol that she was just a high school student when she took part in the show and that there was a "Diss Battle" in the program. Unfortunately, she is not the type of person who disses anyone.
"My agency knows my personality so well and that I don't diss anyone," the rapper said. But, since it was required to create a diss rap about someone, CUBE Entertainment's chairman gave her a suggestion.
"My label's chairman told me, 'Try dissing the director over here'," Jeon Soyeon stated. She added, "I was asked to diss the person standing in front of me. I had no other option but to do it."

(G)I-DLE Soyeon then surprised Yoo Heeyeol when she shared that she told her agency's director this: "You're really good to us, but in fact, we often talk about you behind your back."
Heeyeol later asked the former "Unpretty Rapstar" contestant what the director's reaction to her diss rap was. She answered that the official just sat there and said, "Ha Ha Ha."

The "Yoo Heeyeol's Sketchbook" host replied that he thinks he knows how that director is and described him as a "really good person."
During the "Diss Battle" on "Unpretty Rapstar," (G)I-DLE Soyeon went against Coolkid, with her wearing her "Produce 101" outfit. She won the battle at the time. Check out her performance here!

In December of last year, CUBE Entertainment announced that the (G)I-DLE members will take a short break and start preparing for their full group comeback with a new album. The group's latest release is their fourth mini-album "I Burn" that arrived in January 2021.

Regarding (G)I-DLE Soyeon's solo activities, she made her solo comeback in July 2021 with her first EP "Windy." She performed the album's title song "BEAM BEAM" in different music shows as a part of her comeback promotions. On July 13, she won her first music show trophy since her debut on SBS MTV's "The Show."
