BTS V's 'Christmas Tree' Becomes Fastest Korean OST to Hit This Total Number of Spotify Streams

Since its release on Dec. 25 of last year, BTS V has been establishing a number of Spotify records with "Christmas Tree," the original soundtrack for the new K-drama "Our Beloved Summer."

This track seems to be unstoppable as it scored yet another milestone on the platform, demonstrating its continuous popularity among music fans.

On Feb. 25, this Korean OST by BTS V eventually surpassed 60 million streams on Spotify. The song hit the mark within just 62 days of release.

With this, BTS V's "Christmas Tree" has become the fastest Korean OST to garner 60 million streams on Spotify. It is also now the fastest song by a Korean male soloist to score this feat, surpassing "Filter" by BTS Jimin which took 134 days to reach the mark. This record of Jimin remained unbroken for two years.

V and Jimin now hold the top 2 spots on the list of fastest songs by Korean male soloists to gain 60 million streams on the world's largest streaming platform.

This achievement becomes more notable considering that BTS V's "Christmas Tree" had no official promotion yet it is receiving consistent love from fans around the world.

On Feb. 18, this Korean OST by BTS V set the Spotify record of the first song by a Korean male soloist to spend a total of 30 days on the Global Top 200 chart. It now becomes the longest-running solo song by a Korean male artist on the tally, surpassing "Blueberry Eyes" by Max (featuring SUGA) which previously charted for 29 days.

The "Our Beloved Summer" OST by V is also now the third Korean solo song overall to stay the longest on Spotify's global chart, following Jennie's "SOLO" and Rosé's "On The Ground."

BTS V's Trumpet Video Gets Shared by THIS Academy Award Winner Jazz Musician

In other news, the video of BTS V playing the trumpet was seen shared on the Instagram story of Jon Batiste, an Academy Award Winner Jazz Musician.

In the clip, V can be seen sharing his trumpet rendition of "Autumn Leaves," one of the songs from BTS' 2015 album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2." Before Jon Batiste, Grammy winner Kurt Elling and Jazz critic Ted Gioia have previously praised BTS V's trumpet video.

Because of this, fans are excited to see the K-pop idol and Academy Award Winner interact in the upcoming Grammy Awards this April as both BTS V and Batiste are nominated at the awards show.

In addition to sharing V's trumpet video, Jon has also followed the BTS member on his personal Instagram account.
