On March 14, (G)I-DLE made a successful comeback with "TOMBOY." This is the first time the group has returned as five members.
They achieved a digital all-kill with the release. (G)I-DLE has also impressed many with their live performances of the song.

As promotions for "TOMBOY" continue, many noticed a difference in the styling for the maknae (youngest) Shuhua compared to the other four members. Specifically, during music stages or promotional appearances, the other (G)I-DLE members are not afraid to wear clothing that shows off their tiny waists. However, Shuhua has outfits that cover up that part of her.
For example, during their performance video for Studio Choom, all the members except Shuhua wore outfits that showed off their waists. While performing on music shows, Shuhua wears stage costumes that cover 100% of her waist, a stark difference from the other members.

Many speculated on the reasons why Shuhua has such a different outfit. Some wondered if the idol gained weight, which is why she cannot show off her waist. However, many Neverlands ((G)I-DLE's fanbase) have debunked these rumors. They discussed the actual reason why Shuhua wears such different outfits.
Shuhua has stated in the past that she is not fond of revealing clothing and that she prefers simple styling. Back in 2019, the idol took to (G)I-DLE's official Instagram to state that she does not wear makeup, get her nails done, or dye her hair outside of her idol life. She has said that she prefers her natural appearance.

The idol is often seen on her Instagram in long, flowy outfits that cover her skin. She also prefers neutral, cool tones compared to (G)I-DLE's vibrant stage outfits.
Many believe that the stylists respect Shuhua's preferences and cater to the idol while still maintaining (G)I-DLE's style.

On March 14, (G)I-DLE released their first full-length album, "I NEVER DIE," and its lead single, "TOMBOY." In line with the release of the album, (G)I-DLE held a live online showcase to introduce the album and the song. They took the opportunity to communicate with their fans.
