While K-pop groups as a whole are already amazing as they are, sometimes entertainment companies create sub-units within groups to allow the artists to showcase different personas and take on different music styles. Here are 10 idol groups with one or more sub-units.

1. EXO

EXO-CBX

EXO-CBX is the first sub-unit created within EXO, and it consists of three members namely Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. The trio made their debut on Oct. 31, 2016 with their first mini-album "Hey Mama!"

EXO-SC

EXO-SC is EXO's second sub-unit made up of the group's rappers, Sehun and Chanyeol. The duo debuted on July 22, 2019 with their first EP "What a Life."

2. Girls' Generation

Girls' Generation-TTS

Girls' Generation-TTS (or TaeTiSeo) is the first official sub-unit of the girl group and consists of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. They released their first EP "Twinkle" back on May 2, 2012.

Girls' Generation Oh!GG

Girls' Generation also has a second sub-unit and it is called Girls' Generation-Oh!GG. It is composed of Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri, Hyoyeon, and Yoona. They debuted on Sept. 5, 2018 with their single album "Lil' Touch."

3. INFINITE

INFINITE H

The first INFINITE sub-unit to debut is INFINITE H, which comprises Dongwoo and Hoya (a former member). The duo dropped their first mini-album "Fly High" on Jan. 11, 2013.

INFINITE F

INFINITE F is the next to debut on Dec. 1, 2014 with the single "Azure." The unit consists of L, Sungyeol, and Sungjong.

4. GOT7

JJ Project

JJ Project is the first to make their debut before GOT7. It is made up of Jay B and Jinyoung, who debuted on May 20, 2012 with their first single "Bounce."

JUS2

GOT7's second sub-unit was formed in 2019 and it is called JUS2. Consisting of Jay B and Yugyeom, the unit debuted on March 5 with their first mini-album "Focus."

5. Super Junior

Super Junior K.R.Y.

Comprising Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung, Super Junior K.R.Y. debuted on Nov. 5, 2006 with the single "The One I Love."

Super Junior-T

The second sub-unit is Super Junior-T, which consists of Leeteuk, Sungmin, Heechul, Shindong, and Eunhyuk. Their debut was on Feb. 23, 2007 with "Rokuko."

Super Junior-M

This is Super Junior's Chinese sub-unit composed of Zhou Mi, Ryeowook, Sungmin, Donghae, Kyuhyun, Siwon, and Eunhyuk. They debuted on April 8, 2008.

Super Junior-H

This sub-unit is made up of Shindong, Leeteuk, Yesung, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk. Their debut took place on June 5, 20018 with "Cooking? Cooking!"

Super Junior D&E

This is the latest Super Junior sub-unit, which comprises Donghae and Eunhyuk. The duo debuted on Dec. 16, 2011 with "Oppa, Oppa."

6. NCT

NCT U

Among the NCT sub-units, NCT U is the only one that doesn't have fixed members. The unit initially debuted with Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, and Ten on April 9, 2016 with "The 7th Sense" and "Without You."

NCT 127

This unit consists of a total of 10 members, namely Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, Haechan. They dropped their first EP "NCT#127" on July 7, 2016.

NCT Dream

Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung make up NCT Dream. The sub-unit debuted on Aug. 25, 2016 with the single "Chewing Gum."

WayV

WayV is the China-based sub-unit of NCT. It is composed of Kun, Ten, WinWin, Lucas, XiaoJun, Hendery, and YangYang. Their debut was on Jan. 17, 2019 with the single "The Vision."
