Mijoo is one of the seven Lovelyz members who decided not to renew her contract with Woollim Entertainment in November of last year. Because the majority of the members will leave the agency, the girl group eventually disbanded.

Right after leaving Woollim, Lee Mijoo joined Antenna, a South Korean record label that Yoo Hee Yeol founded. The female star has since been showing her enthusiasm for her solo debut several times after her transfer to Antenna.

In fact, Lee once hinted at her solo debut during her appearance as a special DJ on SBS Power FM's "Two O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show" this past March. At that time, DJ Kim Tae Gyun said, "I heard that you will soon promote a solo song," to which the female idol responded, "It's still a secret. Nothing has been decided yet. Please wait a little bit. I will deliver good news soon."

Lee Mijoo would be the second former member of Lovelyz to make her solo debut after the group disbanded. This past January, Yein debuted as a soloist with her first digital single "Plus N Minus."

As of this writing, Antenna has not released an official statement to confirm the news about former Lovelyz Mijoo's solo debut.
