The K-pop idol shared that the most important step in his skincare routine is cleansing because he often wears heavy makeup for photo shoots, concerts, and other events.

Makeup is like a magnet that holds onto dirt, pollution, dirt, and dead skin. If it is left on your face, it attracts bacteria and results in clogged pores, breakouts, and blackheads. Hence, it is important that the makeup is removed from your skin at the end of the day.

In addition to cleansing his skin every day, the "Atlantis" singer also makes sure to hydrate his skin and body by drinking a lot of water. He also applies 1.5 times more moisturizer than usual.

Another skincare secret of SHINee Minho is that he uses sheet masks regularly instead of daily. He said, "I don't use sheet masks every single day, but I do use them often when my skin is really dry."

If you have acne-prone skin, it's not suggested to put on sheet masks every day as the thick substance in it can sometimes block pores and result in severe acne. Instead, use a sheet mask once a week.

As the interview went on, Minho revealed his four-step skincare routine, which he does when he feels too lazy to do the whole regimen. After cleansing the face, the following steps are tone, moisturize, and apply sunblock. The idol emphasized that sunblock is very important, especially when you will be exposed to sunlight the whole day.

SHINee Minho's Recent Activities

This past May, SHINee Minho held a solo fan meeting, titled 'BEST CHOI's MINHO 2022," at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa, Japan on the 21st and the 22nd. This marked the "View" singer's first solo fan meeting in the country in more than three years.

During the event, he performed his first Japanese songs "Romeo and Juliet" and "Falling Free." Fans were able to download these two songs with a "THE BEST CHOI's MINHO 2022" music card set, which consists of five cards.

The fan meeting followed SHINee Minho's solo comeback in December of last year. On Dec. 21, he dropped a digital single titled "Heartbreak." A music video for the song was also released on the same day.

He also held a fan meeting in Seoul, South Korea at that time, called "CHOI MINHO FAN PARTY 'Best Choi's Minho 2021." The event took place at the Grand Theater of Donghae Culture and Arts Center, Kwangwoon University. It was held both offline and online via Beyond LIVE.

"Heartbreak" is Minho's first solo release in more than two years since his SM STATION single "I'm Home" came out back in March 2019. "I'm Home" is an R&B song that expresses the desire to be comforted in the rush and loneliness of everyday life. The SHINee member proves to be a versatile artist by both singing and rapping in the song. He even wrote the rap lyrics.

At the time "I'm Home" was released, the idol-actor encouraged those who are hesitating to ask someone how they're doing to listen to the song so that they can gain courage from it.
