On August 21, Sojang uploaded a video, titled, "[IVE Jang Wonyoung] Side effects of double eyelid surgery... Her greed ruined her pretty face." The YouTuber provided evidence of the female idol's allegedly cosmetic surgery.

He noted that following IZ*ONE's disbandment, Jang Wonyoung took a short break from the public eye. She returned in May with endorsement deals with Innisfree and Chaumet. People suspected that she had undergone cosmetic surgery following her new pictorials for the brands.

Namely, people believed she underwent double eyelid surgery and lip fillers. While some were unhappy with her new appearance, many claimed that her face was still swollen due to the procedures and that she would grow into her face.

However, people notice that Jang Wonyoung's double eyelid line looks thick, with some saying it resembles sausages.
