On Sept. 1, Sports Donga released an exclusive report stating that Source Music's new girl group LE SSERAFIM will return to the music scene as a five-member girl group.

The Korean media outlet added that LE SSERAFIM is in full swing with the goal of releasing a new album this fall.

The upcoming album would mark the rookie girl group's first comeback since their debut in May and their first music release as a quintet after Kim Garam's exclusive contract was terminated in July.

Shortly after the report came out, a representative of Source Music commented, "It is true that LE SSERAFIM is preparing for a comeback. The detailed schedule will be announced at a later date."

Recently, a netizen took to Twitter to share a photo showing album binder pages wrapped in plastic. They claimed that they saw them loaded on a truck while walking.

On the side are papers that say, "LE SSERAFIM 2ND MINI ALBUM." There's also the word "RUBY" in one paper and "SAPPHIRE" in the other. The netizen claimed that "RUBY" refers to Eunchae while "SAPPHIRE" pertains to Kazuha.

Consisting of Chaewon, Sakura, Yunjin, Kazuha, and Eunchae, LE SSERAFIM has been making a name for themselves since they released their debut EP "FEARLESS" on May 2. This album racked up massive sales in just the first week, demonstrating the group's instant popularity.

Moreover, the EP's title track of the same name set the record for the most weeks on Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. chart among songs by K-pop girl groups that debuted this year. "FEARLESS" has now spent 17 weeks on the tally as of the week ending on Sept. 3.

In other news, LE SSERAFIM's debut song "FEARLESS'' remains popular in South Korea even after three months of its release.

"FEARLESS" ranked 11th on the Circle Weekly Global K-pop Chart for the week of Aug. 21 to 27, and maintained its position at No. 20 on the Weekly Digital Chart. The track also took No. 20 on the Weekly Streaming Chart, while it stayed strong at No. 59 on the Download Chart.

Moreover, the song secured No. 14 on Spotify Korea's Weekly Top Song chart for the week of Aug. 19 to 25.

In the latest weekly charts of MelOn, Bugs, and Genie for the week of Aug. 22 to 28, "FEARLESS" ranked 22nd, 23rd, and 30th, respectively.
