After the clip was leaked, fans and netizens checked out all the clues to find out who Min Kyung is. It was then said that Min Kyung lost her phone containing the video and then someone had found it, and that person leaked the said video online.

After doing some digging, fans noticed that Dino mentioned "Min Kyung noona" in the "thanks to" section of SEVENTEEN's album in the past.
It was later alleged that Min Kyung is a PLEDIS Entertainment staff member, who people believed was Dino's girlfriend at that time.

Amid SEVENTEEN Dino's dating rumor, Min Kyeung-who was still a member of PRISTIN at that time- got involved. The reasons she was mentioned by people are because her name is the same as what Dino said in the video and she was in the same company as Dino.
