BLACKPINK Lisa's Reason of Joining Crazy Horse Paris Revealed, K-Netz Aren't Impressed
Ahead of BLACKPINK Lisa's three-day performance in Crazy Horse de Paris cabaret, the show's general manager revealed why the idol decided to join.
BLACKPINK Lisa Revealed to be Fan of Crazy Horse + Reason She Was Recruited
Ahead of the Crazy Horse Paris stage that will take place from September 28 to 30, fashion magazine ELLE released an interview with Andrée Deissenberg, the show's chief creative and brand officer.
Regarding Lisa's recruitment to join the show, she revealed:
"(BLACKPINK) Lisa is a fan of Crazy Horse."
She continued:
"She came several times, and she often went to see the girls after the backstage show to meet them."
Thinking that it was a good idea, she invited the star to join the show and the rest was history. This makes Lisa the first K-pop idol to join the stage of one of the three most famous Parisian cabarets, known to be nude performing art shows.
Deissenberg went on to praise the idol and said:
"She stayed in Paris and practiced repeatedly. She's done very well, professionally. We practiced during their Paris concert in July, and we kept the whole process a secret."

In fact, it was Lisa who led the planning and overall content of the show, and contrary to tradition, she'll not perform separately but with the existing dancers.
Through Lisa's participation, Deissenberg also aimed to:
"By inviting the BLACKPINK star, Crazy Horse wants to welcome young women as new customers. At the end of the day, they are our future audience. Our Crazy Horse symbolizes women's pride, freedom, and curiosity. Through this performance, Lisa also showed such a symbol, I think."
K-Netz Aren't Impressed With Lisa's Reason for Joining Crazy Horse
Despite their aspiration to attract modern young women, fans weren't impressed with this explanation and how Lisa ended up joining the nude art show.
To Korean fans, this show was nothing like art aside from Lisa trying to be a "stripper."
- "So it's just like Lisa likes to strip and wants to be a stripper, which is really shocking."
- "The luxury brand ambassador became a stripper, this is crazy."
- "So it's just like, Lisa just likes the show, there's no other reason."
- "She wasted YG's effort to create a luxurious image for her."
"Personally, I am negative about Lisa being on a show like this. Regardless of my opinion, if we will purely consider why Lisa wants to appear in the show was because she's probably like, 'I think it will be fun.'
It's not like she needed any money and she probably thinks that she's doing it as a fun attempt with low psychological hurdles."
