Singer SUNMI is set to share candid insights into her personal life on the upcoming episode of YouTube talk show "Salon Drip 2."

The teaser, released at the end of the September 2nd episode featuring DAY6's Sungjin and Wonpil, previewed SUNMI's guest appearance. Host Jang Do Yeon sparked the conversation by asking if major breakups were necessary for writing hit songs.

With a sigh, SUNMI replied, "Well, first I need to actually be in a relationship. But I really can't stand the talking stage. Why do people play games?" Jang Do Yeon agreed, saying, "Exactly. I wish people would just get to the point. Are we dating or not? If not, then move on."

J.Y.Park's Past Concerns

The discussion then turned to remarks made years ago by J.Y.Park on MBC's Radio Star. At the time, he shared his concerns for SUNMI, recalling, "SUNMI lost her father at a young age and, as the eldest daughter, took care of her younger siblings. I once saw those emotions directed toward a guy. That's when I said I wouldn't see her anymore. I knew the guy and I could tell she was drawn to him out of maternal instinct. It frustrated me, so I distanced myself for a while. But she's not like that anymore, so I don't worry about her now."

Clarifying the story, SUNMI said, "I've been meaning to explain that. It really happened just once. That was my very first relationship, and it ended with that one person."

When asked about her ideal type, the singer described a specific face shape with a hand gesture and said, "I'm drawn to a certain type of face. Shoop, shoop."

Her answer prompted Jang Do Yeon to jokingly ask, "Wait—shoop, shoop? J.Y.Park?" sparking laughter among the cast and crew.

SUNMI's full interview will air on Salon Drip 2 next week, where fans can expect more personal revelations from the artist.
