More stills for the upcoming TV series The Lonely Shining Goblin have been released and it seems like tvN has no intention of stopping. After treating fans to a few image stills of Gong Yoo donning a heavy armor in what seems to be an ancient battlefield of sorts, now tvN goes back to the modern age with their recently released stills of the Goblin's two main couples and a lone Yook Sung-jae.

It appears that in this series, you won't find a love triangle building between the main characters but instead, the show features a buildup of two main couples which in a way, is actually nice. It worked with Descendants of the Sun before and the two shows do have the same writer, Kim Eun-sook.

The first couple in the picture is of course, the Goblin himself, played by Train to Busan's Gong Yoo and his love interest Kim Go-eun. The series centers on Gong Yoo's character who wishes to end his immortality and can only do so once he finds a mortal bride. Enter Kim Go-eun's character, a nineteen year old girl who claims to be said mortal bride. Of course, there would be nothing normal about Kim Go-eun's character however, it is said that she longs for a sense of mundane in her life.

In the stills, the two are pictured together in Quebec with a beautiful autumn backdrop, as reported by Allkpop. You can immediately see the difference between the two but you know what they say, 'opposites attract.'

The other couple is featured in a different background, a footbridge in Korea. In the image, you would see Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na's character meet for the first time. According to Soompi, Lee Dong Wook plays an amnesiac grim reaper who subsequently becomes the goblin's roommate while Yoo In Na's role in the series is a chicken shop owner who freely lives her life thoughtlessly.

Finally, Yook Sung-jae stands happily alone as a chaebol heir whose family has cared for the goblin for generations. While his clothes may be reminiscent of Disney's hit animated film "Frozen", he really does portray a chaebol heir.

From the stills alone, you can't help the undeniable chemistry between the two couples and from what the teasers have shown so far, Goblin looks like a promising series.
