iKON Is All Set For Comeback This Month; Japan Dome Tour 2017 Set For May 20, June 17

Following WINNER's successful comeback with their album Fate Number For, YG Entertainment is again gearing for another comeback this May as it teases what's in store iKON's next album. The label is revealed to be very optimistic about the comeback following the reception of WINNER, even without its fifth member Nam Tae Hyun who left the group last year due to health issues.

Based on a report by All Kpop, YG Entertainment has started releasing teasers about iKON's comeback. The group was supposed to make their comeback last month and it was even reported that they began to shoot their music video as early as April but recent attention has been given by YG to WINNER since they were restarting as a quartet with the departure of their main vocalist.

YG posted on its social media account the teaser poster bearing statement "coming soon" and iKON as well as the word "Conspiracy" which could be the title of their album. As a teaser, it was very effective since it clearly stated what fans need to watch out for.

According to a report by Hello Kpop, YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk has teased the iKON's comeback will feature a lot of hip hop elements in their album and their music video. The new album will also reportedly feature two new songs for their comeback.

It can be recalled that iKON concluded their Japanese tour last year and was well received in Japan. Their popularity in the country is so high that the K-pop group is holding their first Japan Dome tour this May 20 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka and on June 17 at the Seibu Prince Dome in Saitama, Soompi reported. This is a pretty major undertaking for the young K-pop group as each venue has a seating capacity of over 40,000.

Still, iKON's win as Best New Artist at the Japan Record Awards in 2016 is a positive indication of the shows' success. iKON's popularity in Japan closely follows the strong fanbase that their BIG BANG seniors enjoy from the Japanese audience. Daesung or D-LITE has recently concluded his four sold-out shows in Japan last April while Taeyang is set to return to Japan for his SOL Japan tour in July. The last leg of G-Dragon's World Tour will also happen in Japan.
