LOONA Heejin has been caught up in dating rumors with D1CE Woo Jinyoung. The female idol's agency has since responded to the issue.

LOONA Heejin Rumored to be Dating D1CE Woo Jinyoung, Blockberry Creative Addresses the Issue

On Dec. 29, a representative of Blockberry Creative has come forward to respond to the dating rumors surrounding LOONA member Heejin.

Through several media outlets, the representative stated that the rumors are not true. They explained that Heejin and Woo Jinyoung are not close with each other on any personal level.

The rep continued that the photo briefly exposed during the LOONA member's V Live broadcast is nothing but an image of her cousin.

The representative of the agency then apologized for causing worry to many people and said that they will do their best in the future.

The dating rumors about LOONA Heejin and D1CE Woo Jinyoung started on Dec. 28, when the female idol held a live broadcast. During the live, she was showing fans a clip on her iPad, however, she accidentally scrolled to another picture. In this photo, netizens saw a person with blonde hair. Some people believed the person in the image is D1CE Jinyoung, as he currently has blonde hair.

What made netizens more suspicious is that when LOONA Heejin accidentally scrolled to the photo with the blonde-haired person, she immediately hid the screen of her iPad from the camera.

Soon afterward, rumors spread online that Heejin is dating Woo Jinyoung. Some netizens also made claims that the LOONA member's iPad password is "970531," which happens to be the birthday of the D1CE member (May 31, 1997). They alleged that LOONA member Gowon accidentally mentioned the passcode last month.

About LOONA Heejin and D1CE Woo Jinyoung

Heejin debuted as a LOONA member in 2018 along with 11 other Blockberry Creative trainees namely Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, Vivi, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Gowon and Olivia. In the group, Heejin serves as the visual and center.

Heejin trained for only one year before she made her official debut. She is also part of the group's sub-unit called LOONA 1/3. Prior to her debut in LOONA, she competed in YG Entertainment's "MIXNINE" and managed to finish in fourth place.

With every album release since their debut, LOONA breaks their first-week sales record. Their highest first-week sales amount to date was achieved by their fourth mini-album "[&]," which sold 76,293 total copies.

Meanwhile, Woo Jinyoung made his debut as a D1CE member in 2019 together with Yonggeun, Hyunsoo, Yoojin, and Woodam. Jinyoung is part of the group's rapper line and is the youngest member.

Like Heejin, Woo Jinyoung is also well known as a former participant in "MIXNINE," where he finished in first place, earning him a spot in the debut lineup. Unfortunately, the project boy group's launch was canceled.

D1CE made their latest comeback in February of this year with a new digital single titled "You're My Destiny." In June, Woo Jinyoung made his solo debut with his first EP "3-2=A." He is the first band member to debut as a solo artist.

As of September, only three D1CE members are active in the K-pop industry as Yonggeun and Woodam enlisted in the military in May and September of this year respectively.
