Sandara Park had just reached a new milestone on her official Instagram account!

2016 has been quite a sad year for Sandara Park. Back in April, fellow 2NE1 member Minzy departed from the group and just last month, her iconic k-pop group had officially been disbanded by YG Entertainment. Though it may not be as special to some, 2016 seems to be making up, albeit a little, for all the sadness it has caused for the idol.

Just recently, Sandara Park announced via Twitter that she has finally reached 5 000 000 followers on the social media platform Instagram, Allkpop reports. In the said post, Sandara greeted her fans with 'Happy 5M' followed by a simple 'Thank You.' The message was broadcasted to her 3 000 000 followers on Twitter.

The tweet also contained a link to an image on her Instagram account of herself doing the finger hearts gesture in a show of gratitude for her latest achievement.

Definitely one of the best platforms that idols use to connect with their fans is through social media and Sandara has been utilizing it to its fullest capabilities. She has been quite active on her social media accounts and always makes sure to update fans with the latest happenings in her life.

According to Koreaboo, the former 2NE1 member first created her Instagram account about three years ago on her birthday. Now, in that short time, she was able to amass 5 000 000 followers on Instagram. Last year, she had 3 000 000 followers on Instagram and in just a year, she managed to add 2 000 000 more.

While her time with 2NE1 may be over, Sandara still has big plans for herself as she remains under YG's banner as a solo artist. According to her, she plans to focus on her acting career as well as with various activities in South Korea and the Philippines.
