Music Icon Seo Taiji Handpicks BTS As First Junior Artists To Join 'Project 25'; Netizens Excited About Epic Collaboration

Music icon Seo Taiji is celebrating his 25th anniversary in the Korean music by embarking on a project with junior artists to remake his best hits. The first on list of artists K-pop idol group BTS, who recently concluded the sold out US-leg of their "Wings" World Tour.

According to a report by Soompi, Seo Taiji personally handpicked BTS as his first choice of collaborators. Seo Taiji will also pick the next junior artists that will be part of his "25" project.

The "25" project is very a very meaningful undertaking for Seo Taiji because not only will this be a celebration of his music but it is also a way for his music to connect to a new generation of listeners. Seo Taiji will be working closely with BTS in arranging and producing the remake of his song to ensure that both music styles will be incorporated into the track.

Many netizens expressed excitement over the idea of a BTS of a Seo Taiji hit song since the group is also known to be very hands-on and passionate when it comes to producing music. BTS members have said in recent interviews that their music connects to many people is because they do not isolate themselves to one genre and instead infuse many genres from Western and Asian music into their material.

BTS leader Rap Monster, in an interview said that they also draw inspiration from the experiences of young people so their music resonates with their audience quite well.  He also credited the hard work of their ARMY fandom from all over the world for patiently interpreting the message of their music in different languages so that it reaches more people from different countries.

A Seo Taiji and BTS collaboration promises to be an exciting one since the artists share similar qualities in making music. Through his 25 year career in music, Seo Taiji excelled in various genres of music ranging from heavy metal, K-pop, and even cultural music in his work resulting in music that resonates through generations.
