EXO D.O. Gives Update Regarding His Solo Album

EXO member D.O. recently updated fans about his upcoming solo album, which he previously shared to be in the works.

EXO D.O. Hints at Solo Debut During Livestream

On Jan. 25, the idol-actor was officially discharged from the military without returning to the military base in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol. The following day, the male idol shared a video of him singing his solo track "That's Okay" and took the time to talk to the fans via V Live for the first time after more than one year.

During the livestream, EXO D.O. answered multiple questions from fans and gave an update concerning his plans for his music and acting activities. At that time, he revealed that he was filming for a movie titled "The Moon" (working title). He also shared that he wanted to do many things while he was in the military such as learning how to play the guitar, which he is currently doing now.

EXO's main vocalist went on to say that he wants to share music with the fans and eventually unveiling details about his solo album. He said that he is working hard on it and that the songs are all ready and he was already learning the lyrics.

When he was asked about when the album will be out, the idol responded, "I'm not sure. It will be out when it's all finish. I'll do my best to hurry up and release it."

EXO D.O. Shares the Recording Process of His Solo Album

And recently, EXO D.O. gave an update regarding the preparation for his solo album. The "Tell Me What is Love" singer took to Bubble to communicate with the fans. He talked about random topics such as being able to watch movies like "Soul Mate," "Space Sweepers," and "1917," as well as "Soul," which he said he will be watching when he has free time.

At the end of his chat with fans, he sent a lengthy voice message where he surprised EXO-Ls (EXO's fan club) with some amazing news. He detailed, "I had a great time today. That...solo album, you know, I recorded [some songs] already. And I have more recordings this week and next week. So, please look forward to it, everyone."

With his goal to release his solo album as soon as possible, D.O. is probably to become the sixth EXO member to have a solo album, following Chen, Baekhyun, Lay, Suho, and Kai. And although the "Love Shot" singer launched a few solo tracks before, the upcoming album will mark his official solo debut.

EXO D.O.'s Upcoming Movies

Besides his activities as a singer, EXO D.O. will also be busy filming movies this year. As mentioned above, the Korean actor is currently recording for an upcoming film titled "The Moon" together with Sol Kyung Gyu. D.O. will play the man who was stranded in space due to an accident, while Kyung Gyu will be the other man who is on Earth and is trying to save him.

In addition, EXO's main vocalist has been confirmed to take the male lead role in the remake of a Taiwanese movie titled "Secret." It is set to start filming in the second half of the year.
