More Testimonies Come Out Against (G)I-DLE's Soojin + Was She the Leader of an Iljin Group?
On Wednesday, Mar. 17, a user on an online community post shared their testimony against (G)I-DLE's Soojin. According to the user, they saw lots of alleged victims of Soojin's bullying on Twitter and other online community forums, and they believed that she would admit her wrongs, apologize, and resolve the issue smoothly.
However, they were angered when they saw Soojin's letter and CUBE Entertainment's statement.
In their post, the online user shared their resident registration card, draft resident registration certification, and middle school diploma to prove they were schoolmates with Soojin. They note that there is no place that is selling fake diplomas from their middle school and that if there is, to tell them where they can be bought.
According to the user, the reason why Soojin stood out in school was that she was the leader of an iljin group, also known as a bully group. They claimed that Soojin bullied and cursed at her peers for no reason. They urge other alumni from the school who are reading their posts to testify and not hesitate to give their testimonies, hoping that their post gives them the courage to step up to the plate.
According to the user, an informal school violence committee was held because of Soojin. They claimed Soojin, along with other school bullies, were called to the teacher's office. They added that the teacher who taught the student's physical education was the one who paged the children. "At the time, the school broadcasted their names so loudly so that students who listened to the paging would know who was called."
This testimony is consistent with other people's testimonies against Soojin. According to a past testimony, the school violence committee hearing was attended by all the parents of the children involved, including Soojin's mother. They claimed that when Soojin's mother arrived at the meeting, they said, "I thought they called me because of how pretty Soojin is."
In another testimony shared on Mar. 16, a user claimed that Soojin had admitted to them that the school violence committee was held. However, now the company and the idol herself are denying it ever happened and are even saying that the teachers and her classmates had no idea what the informal school violence committee was. "I think they're spreading false information now," they state.
Soojin maintains her position that she was never a perpetrator of school bullying and violence. CUBE Entertainment previously announced that all of Soojin's activities are on hold at the moment and that (G)I-DLE will continue to work as five members. However, the controversy continues to draw public uproar, especially after a CUBE Entertainment staff shared a photo with all of the members, including Soojin, to celebrate his birthday.
