On March 5, 2021, RM sold his residence for 5.8 billion won (approximately $5.2 million), leaving a profit margin of 900 million won ($804 million).

"Hannam The Hill" is well known to be one of the most expensive residential areas and apartments in South Korea, and houses numerous A-List Korean celebrities, such as Kim Tae Hee and Rain, Han Hyo Joo, So Ji Sub, Lee Seung Chul, Ju Ji Hoon, Girls' Generation's Sunny, EXO, as well as corporate leaders, politicians, and more.

The residential complex became even more well known after BTS moved in back in December 2017, with their CEO and producer, Bang Si Hyuk, wanting the group to live together in comfort - hence, "Hannam The Hill" became known as "BTS's dorm."

Besides RM, other members of BTS also bought their own personal residence in "Hannam The Hill," such as Jin, who purchased two units - one in July 2018 and another in October 2019.

Up until sometime in 2019, BTS shared an apartment in "Hannam The Hill," and the following year, the members decided to officially move out and live on their own, while RM and Jin continued to live in their respective apartments within the residential complex.
