Netizens Accuse International Fans of 'Rigging' Votes on Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999' with Multiple SIM Cards

With Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" finally started airing back in August, the show has been in the center of attention - both domestic and international - for the show's format of having a total of 99 contestants, with 33 South Korean, Japanese, and Chinese trainees each, in the hopes of making their debut in the girl group.

As "Girls Planet 999" is being broadcasted and produced by Mnet - who became the center of controversy for being found guilty of manipulating votes during the "Produce" series - the broadcasting station's credibility for survival shows that require voting have significantly dropped. Despite its past controversy, the show is still seeing success.

A netizen on Pann Nate also shared a few tweets from an international fandom of Huening Bahiyyih, who are raising money in order to buy cheap SIM cards to vote for her.

According to the netizen who created the online community post, they explained that the rules of the show only allows one vote submitted per person. And since the voting began two weeks ago, it would mean one person is submitting 14,000 votes if they have 1,000 SIM cards.
