During an interview with Allure, ITZY member Lia dived into her skincare routine!
Lia revealed she got into skincare because her skin is sensitive to all the make-up she wears on stage. She told the publication that it is hard for her to keep her skin in good condition, and her skin is the best whenever she is not working.
Lia's First Skincare Routine — Remedying Her Complexion
Lia revealed that the first skincare routine was the classic ten-step Korean skincare method. This starts with double-cleansing.
First, she used an oil or balm cleanser to get rid of her make-up, then she went in with a water-based cleanser to ensure all the gunk on her skin was gone.

She would then go into toner, which helps balance the pH of the skin and soothe it. She also exfoliated every other day to keep her skin flake-free.
Moving on, Lia would apply essence to her skin. Essence is meant to protect, hydrate, and boost the skin's overall health, as it helps restore hydration to skin cells.
After essence is serum, which helps brighten the skin, reduce blemishes, boost hydration and fight signs of aging.

Lastly, Lia would moisturize her face. Sometimes, the idol would also use a facial mask.

Lia's Recent Skincare Routine — Skin Care Diet
Now that Lia knows what works for her, her skincare routine has been trimmed down to only the essential things. Instead of doing all ten steps, Lia now focuses on cleansing and moisturizing.
In South Korea, this trend is known as the "Skin Care Diet," where people remove unnecessary steps and focus on the essential products.

Since Lia wears a lot of make-up as an idol, she still double cleanses. First, she uses an oil cleanser to rid her face of products and then uses a facial cleanser to eliminate any other impurities.
She then dives into moisturizer. Hydration is a vital part of any routine, as it makes the skin look plump and healthy. The skin requires ample water to combat inflammation and promote cell turnover.
If you skip on moisturizer, your skin may look dull, wrinkly and dry.
