(G)I-DLE Makes References to Former Member Soojin on Upcoming 'I Love' Album
Cube Entertainment girl group (G)I-DLE is currently gearing up to make a comeback with their fifth mini album "I Love" this coming October 17 KST. As part of the preparations for their comeback, and to heighten fans' anticipation, (G)I-DLE is slowly releasing teaser photos for the album.
In particular, (G)I-DLE released the album covers of the three different versions of "I Love" on September 14. However, the cover of the "X-File" version of their upcoming album is drawing attention among fans for one of its small details.

On the "X-File" version, fans noticed that the cover features the names of the five current (G)I-DLE members, namely Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua.
While nothing seems to be out of the ordinary here, fans drew attention to the fact that there is a "cancel" or "ban" symbol in-between Soyeon and Yuqi's names.
Seeing this, fans began thinking that the symbol is in reference to former (G)I-DLE member Soojin, who withdrew from the group back in August 2021 after being embroiled in school bullying accusations.

Fans speculate the 'cancel' or 'ban' symbol is in reference to Soojin
Fans also speculate that the reason for the "cancel" or "ban" symbol is due the group not allowed to directly address or reference Soojin.
In addition, some also noticed that the album's artwork concept in a different version may be inspired by the late American actress and icon Marilyn Monroe. This might also be in reference to Soojin, who had previously revealed on several occasions that Marilyn Monroe is her role model.

In fact, this isn't the first time that fans noticed (G)I-DLE making reference to Soojin in their subsequent releases following the member's departure.

Now, fans are beginning to speculate that this may be a sign that Soojin is preparing to return as a member of (G)I-DLE once again.
