The artists who are included in the second lineup for the 2022 MAMA Awards have been named. The list includes top-tier solo artists and rising fourth-generation K-pop groups.

2022 MAMA Awards Reveals Second Lineup of Performing Artists

On Nov. 9, the 2022 MAMA Awards revealed through their official Twitter account that soloists Hyolyn, BIBI, Zico, and Lim Young Woong will attend and perform at this year's award ceremony.

That's not all, as fans also get to see Forestella, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, NiziU, INI, NewJeans, and "Street Man Fighter" dance crews take the stage to give incredible performances.

Hyolyn, Forestella, BIBI, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, and the "Street Man Fighter" dance crews are scheduled to perform on Day 1 (Nov. 29).

Hyolyn appeared on Mnet's "Queendom 2" in the first half of the year and showcased her unchanging skills in dancing and singing even after years since SISTAR disbanded.

Forestella is a South Korean crossover vocal group formed through the survival show "Phantom Singer 2." The quartet continues to be active in concerts, award ceremonies, music shows, and even reality programs.

Another top female K-pop soloist, BIBI has been carrying out activities in various fields as well, such as music, broadcasting, entertainment, movies, and advertising.

Prior to performing at the 2022 MAMA Awards, NMIXX dropped their second single "ENTWURF," which made the group a half-million seller in about eight months of their debut. Notably, the album ranked first in a weekly Circle Album Chart, proving the group's great popularity in South Korea.

Rookie group LE SSERAFIM has also achieved amazing feats with their second mini-album "ANTIFRAGILE." One of them is becoming the fastest K-pop girl group to enter Billboard 200 in history; they debuted on the chart in just six months of their debut.

"Street Man Fighter" has recently concluded, and so its dance crews- JustJerk, We Dem Boyz, Mbitious, Bank Two Brothers, 1 Million, Eo-Date, YGX, and Prime Kingz- are bringing their explosive performances to Mnet's award ceremony.

Meanwhile, Zico, Lim Young Woong, (G)I-DLE, NiziU, INI, and NewJeans have joined the lineup of performing artists on Day 2 of the 2022 MAMA Awards.

Zico swept the music charts this year with the "Street Man Fighter" mission song "New Thing" (featuring Hommies), which he produced. The track even attained double crown on the Circle charts (Digital & Streaming) and peaked at No. 1 on MelOn's daily chart.

Trot singer has also solidified his status as one of the top male soloists by becoming the first Korean soloist and trot singer to sell more than one million copies of an album on the Hanteo Chart in the first week of its release.

(G)I-DLE continues to remain one of the top K-pop groups by releasing two consecutive hits, "TOMBOY" and "Nxde," this year. Their latest album "I love" is also a success, as it recorded the fifth-highest first-week sales for a K-pop girl group album in Hanteo history.

Ahead of their appearance at the 2022 MAMA Awards, Japanese girl group NiziU, which JYP Entertainment produced, completed their first solo tour in seven cities in Japan, plus two sold-out dome concerts, proving their massive popularity in their home country.

INI, a boy group that was produced through the season 2 of the Japanese audition show "Produce 101 Japan" also boasts massive popularity in Japan after releasing three singles, which ranked first on Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

Despite being a three-month old girl group, NewJeans has already become one of the top K-pop artists in this generation. They are the first girl group to take the first and second places on MelOn's Top 100 with their debut songs "Attention" and "Hype Boy."
