Lim Young Woong, Former SISTAR Soyou Dismiss Dating Rumors in Official Statements
Both artists have given an update regarding the claims.
On July 10, top soloist Lim Young Woong and former SISTAR member Soyou have both denied the circulating dating rumors involving them.
Lim Young Woong's agency Mulgogi Music released a brief comment, stating that their artist's dating rumors with Soyou are not true. The agency stated, "The rumors are not true."

Likewise, Soyou's label Big Planet Made also denied the rumors, explaining that the former SISTAR member's schedule to Jeju Island had coincidentally overlapped with Lim Young Woong's, and clarified there were no romantic feelings between the two.
"For her latest schedule, Soyou traveled to Jeju Island for a recording." Big Planet Made stated. "Her path simply happened to coincide with Lim Young Woong's owns schedule, and Soyou has also confirmed that they have no relationship with each other."
Lim Young Woong, Soyou Embroiled in Dating Rumors After THESE Photos Were Published Online
On July 10, the two artists became the subjects of discussion online, due to the buzz they gained after numerous dating rumors surrounding them went viral.
According to Wikitree, the report contained claims of Lim Young Woong and Soyou dating, after several photographs at a restaurant in Jeju Island were posted.

In the pictures allegedly uploaded by an individual associated with the BBQ establishment, two separate pictures were taken featuring Lim Young Woong in one photo, and Soyou in the other. The flame was fanned when netizens learned that the two pictures were taken on the same day.
In Wikitree's statement, fans also asked the original poster if Lim Young Woong and Soyou came to the establishment together.

Following this, the individual shortly removed the photo featuring Soyou, and replied "they came from different parties," raising the suspicions within netizens.

Kang Jihyun, or popularly known as Soyou, is a former member of K-pop girl group SISTAR. After SISTAR's disbandment on May 22, 2017, Soyou signed an exclusive contract with Big Planet made on September 29, 2021.
