With its bid to take over the world, K-pop superstar group BTS is now making waves in Japan after the release of the Japanese version of their 2016 hit "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." The single has conquered the ORICON chart for two straight days and sold over 200,000 copies of the single.

According to a report by Kstarlive, BTS' "Blood Sweat and Tears" topped Oricon on its first day by selling 141,242 copies. On its second consecutive day of topping the charts, the numbers jumped to an impressive 223,082 in total physical sales.

BTS' recent accomplishment is a testament to the boys' marketability in Japan which was first tested when they released Japanese versions of their tracks "For You", "I Need You" and "Run" in 2015 and 2016. The songs also made it to the top of Oricon charts at the time.

It can be recalled that BTS recently signed with Japan's Def Jam Records who will manage the Japanese aspect of their career. BTS also recently made their Japanese television debut via morning show "Sukkiri" where they impressed the hosts with their Japanese language skills and their high energy performance of "Blood Sweat and Tears" Japanese version.

The Japanese version of BTS' "Blood Sweat and Tears" has been well received by ARMYs in Japan and worldwide as it managed to top the iTunes charts in 13 countries upon release and topped the charts in Tower Records' Album Charts as well as HMV Asia. The music video has also been viewed by close to 5 million people in just a span of two days, All Kpop reported.

BTS' "Blood, Sweat and Tears" Japanese version has been praised for retaining the strengths of the original Korean version but amping up the action and exploring a lot of symbolisms. The new video also drew praise for its artistic and edgy approach intersped with BTS' signature style.
