On October 2, SM Entertainment released another set of teasers for aespa's first mini-album, Savage. The teasers showed off the group's strong concept, giving MYs (aespa's fanbase) a glimpse into each members' unique atmosphere. In addition, the girls of aespa each received clothes and make-up that maximized their image.

For Winter's teaser, the idol boasted a mysterious vibe. In her teaser, Winter is sene in a navy off-shoulder top with neon accents. Though her whole outfit is not visible in the teasers, it appears that she is wearing shorts and boots that stop right below the knee. Supporters loved her edgy outfit. But did you know there is a strange secret to her outfit?

The top Winter is wearing was actually made by reforming socks from a South Korean socks brand. The logo "GGRN" is seen all over her outfit. With a bit of digging, it was soon discovered that the shirt was made from socks by a brand called Ggorangnae Company, which specializes in socks specifically.

The logo, which is usually seen at the ankle part of the socks, was redesigned so that it would be visible on the wrist and shoulders of Winter's top. And with that, Winter's new outfit was born!

On September 13, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that aespa would be releasing their first mini-album, Savage, on October 5. On September 27, the tracklisting for the mini-album was released, revealing it would include six tracks, including the lead single, also titled Savage.

On October 5, hours before the mini-album's release, it was reported that Savage reached 401,088 pre-order sales. The girl group is scheduled to hold a live event titled SYNK DIVE: aespa Savage SHOWCASE on YouTube to celebrate their first mini-album's release and communicate with their fans.
The title song, Savage, is described as a K-pop trap genre song with drums and basses as the main focus.
