(G)I-DLE finally made their comeback with their first studio album, "I NEVER DIE," and its lead single, "TOMBOY," on March 14. This is the group's first musical release after a year and two months. This is also (G)I-DLE's first comeback since Soojin's withdrawal in August 2021.

Though one member less, (G)I-DLE still impressed many with this comeback. "TOMBOY" received highly positive responses from the Korean audience. The song is expected to achieve a real-time all-kill.

To promote their comeback, (G)I-DLE appeared on the KBS show "Idol Snack Spree." At the start of the show, the Cube Entertainment girl group performed a short part of "TOMBOY." However, a technical blunder appeared during the performance.

Instead of playing the digital version of the song, KBS accidentally played the CD version of "TOMBOY." This version of the song features several swear words.

Most notably, it does not censor the swear word in the pre-chorus, "I'm a f*ck*ng tomboy." The swear word is censored over with a "beep" sound in the digital version.

When "TOMBOY" was first released, both versions of "TOMBOY" were banned on KBS due to the station's broadcasting standards. The CD version featured swear words, while the digital version contained a brand name. To have it accepted by KBS, (G)I-DLE revised the lyrics three times.

After performing, Soyeon informed the MC that the song they played was the CD-only version. This is why sensitive language appeared. The girls laughed the matter off, and they seemed to find the incident amusing.

Those who saw the video were amused by the honest reactions of the members, especially Shuhua and Yuqi. Many teased the girls, as they appeared shocked over the curse word even though they were the ones who sang it. Others commented that they preferred the uncensored version. It exuded more charisma than the digital version.
