Sowon's Last Activities as GFRIEND Member
Before GFRIEND disbanded in May, Sowon participated in the group's comebacks last year.
In February 2020, GFRIEND returned with a new extended play, titled "Labyrinth." This EP marked the band's first comeback in Korea after Big Hit Entertainment (now called HYBE) acquired their company Source Music.
GFRIEND's "Labyrinth" contains various styles and genres including EDM, rock, and synth-pop. It consists of six songs, one of which is the title track "Crossroads."
The girl group promoted the album with live performances of "Crossroads" on different Korean music shows, taking home seven trophies in total.
GFRIEND's "Labyrinth" was a success as it topped the Gaon Album Chart, becoming the group's fourth work to do so.
It sold 29,000 copies on the first day on the Hanteo Chart, and eventually broke their first-week sales record with 54,000 copies, passing the sales of their previous EP, "Fever Season."
In June, GFRIEND dropped another album, "Song of the Sirens," their ninth EP. It features the title song "Apple," which gave the group three music show trophies.
