On Mar. 9, CUBE Entertainment shared a photo that reads "Happy Soojin Day / Happy Birthday" to their social media accounts. Along with the photo is a caption that reads, "(G)I-DLE Soojin, happy birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOOJIN-!"

In the photo, Soojin shows off her chic charms, flaunting her side view and smiling subtly at the camera.

While most international fans showered the female idol with "happy birthdays" and wishes of good fortune on her special day, South Korean fans and the general public has reacted negatively to the post due to Soojin's ongoing school bullying controversy.

As CUBE Entertainment has yet to release a follow-up statement concerning investigations over Soojin's bullying allegations, people slammed the company for their alleged insensitivity.

Many left comments asking CUBE Entertainment to be more sensitive towards Soojin's alleged victims. Many also agreed that though it is her birthday, sharing a post like this while the rumors concerning Soojin are still gaining lots of attention is not the smartest move. People commented that CUBE Entertainment shows how shameless they are with their post and demand a follow-up statement to the bullying case.

Why are People Upset with (G)I-DLE's Soojin? A Look Back at the Bullying Allegations

Back in Feb., a user claimed that Soojin bullied her sister while they were in middle school. She claims that Soojin had slapped her sister and her friends and also stirred bullying through group chats. The user, as well as other testimonies, claimed that Soojin drank underage, smoked, hung out with older men and rode motorcycles with them, stole people's uniforms and other's cash, and dressed inappropriately.

CUBE Entertainment released a statement denying the claims, stating the first accuser shared came out with rumors against Soojin due to a phone argument between the two. Soojin then released a letter to her fans, admitting to dressing inappropriately and smoking out of curiosity, but denied all other claims against her.

Actress Seo Shin Ae is expected to be one of the alleged victims of Soojin's bullying. When the accusation against the idol first came out, Seo Shin Ae made a cryptic Instagram Story that read, "None of your excuse." When CUBE Entertainment denied the claims, she released another Story that showed her listening to Billie Eilish's "Therefore I Am."

Many users who claimed to have gone to the same middle school as the two shared testimonies stating that Soojin would bully Seo Shin Ae out of jealousy, but others have claimed that the accusations are false.

Seo Shin Ae recently released an Instagram post allegedly alluding to the situation. (G)I-DLE's DC Inside fan club has released a statement saying that they are boycotting Soojin remaining in the group and demand her withdrawal.
