Lawyer of Alleged Victim Refutes (G)I-DLE Soojin’s Statements Concerning Bullying Controversy

Victim's Lawyer Refutes (G)I-DLE Soojin's Claims Concerning Bullying Rumors
Previously, Soojin shared a length statement concerning the bullying controversy, denying the claims made against her with detailed explanations of what happened on her end.
However, the legal team behind the alleged victim, B, has since refuted certain claims made by Soojin.
According to B's lawyer, Choo Sae Ah, Soojin's claim that she and CUBE Entertainment made efforts to meet up with victim B is all false. They also stress that they have been patiently waiting for Soojin to apologize before they meet personally, but they had never received an apology.
Choo Sae Ah also added that several issues have arisen due to comments and letters sent by (G)I-DLE fans condemning alleged victim B. "We understand the sentiments of fans who want to support their favorite idol," they stated. "But they should also know that they can be victims in a different situation."
Choo Sae Ah, B's lawyer, also commented on the current situation of another alleged bullying victim, A, following their in-person meeting with Soojin. Based on several KakaoTalk messages shared between A and B, the meeting with Soojin has left A with severe anxiety, to the point where she could not say or do anything afterward.
A messaged B saying, "I felt so tired and frightened of everything following my meeting with Seo Soojin. It felt like I was back in middle school, as a child, that was bullied. My hands started shaking, and I could not think of anything as I sat in front of Seo Soojin."
Choo Sae Ah further stated that they had gathered more evidence and additional testimonies from supposed bullying victims and witnesses of the school violence. The lawyer stated, "Soojin, in the end, had never acknowledged her bullying accusations and acted as if she could not remember a single thing. CUBE Entertainment and Soojin also tried to make the victims look like false accusers and treated the accusations like 'malicious commenters.'"
The Accusations Made Against (G)I-DLE Soojin
Back on Feb. 20, an Instagram user claimed that Soojin had bullied her younger sister, claiming that the idol slapped her sister and her sister's friend. The user also accused Soojin of instigating bullying through group chats. Following these claims, more testimonies against Soojin claimed that the (G)I-DLE member dressed inappropriately, stole money and people's uniforms, hung out with older men, smoked, and drank underage.
CUBE Entertainment released a statement, denying Soojin's bullying rumors and claiming that the rumors against Soojin started from a phone argument between the first poster and Soojin. Additionally, Soojin released a letter to her fans, admitting to dressing inappropriately and smoking out of curiosity, but overall denying that she was a perpetrator of school bullying. More testimonies have come out claiming Soojin was a leader of an iljin group.
One suspected victim of Soojin's bullying is famous actress Seo Shin Ae, who went to the same middle school as Soojin. Seo Shin Ae shared numerous cryptic posts to her Instagram Story throughout the controversy whenever a development in the controversy arose. Several testimonies state that Soojin bullied Seo Shin Ae out of jealousy. However, some have also come out to claim these rumors are false.
Seo Shin Ae released an Instagram post talking about having a "frozen heart" but smashing the winter in her heart and becoming a ray of sunlight. The post is being speculated to be a response to (G)I-DLE Soojin's bullying rumors.
Since then, numerous people have been boycotting Soojin's position in (G)I-DLE. Wreaths calling for her withdrawal have been sent to CUBE Entertainment, and (G)I-DLE's South Korean fan club has also boycotted her addition to the group.
Soojin has reportedly met up with the bullying victim. The bullying victim, however, claims that Soojin continually denied having been the perpetrator of school violence. Soojin is currently taking a break from activities.
